I Don't Know You and I Love You (1934)
Ich kenn dich nicht und liebe dich" is the last in the celebrated series of collaborations of director Géza von Bolváry and actor Willi Forst, and probably the most overlooked; even the seminal book "Willi Forst - Ein Filmstil aus Wein" (ed. Armin Loacker) only devotes exactly one line to the film in its more than 600 pages. Such neglect is undeserved in my view, as the film is a fine German musical comedy of the early 1930s.
