Martí Rom (Barcelona, 1950) is a Catalan industrial engineer, filmmaker, artist and writer with a distinguished career in both alternative cinema and the visual arts. He began his filmmaking career in the 1970s, collaborating with the Cineclub of the School of Industrial Engineers and co-founding the distributor Central del Curt and the production company Cooperativa de Cinema Alternatiu. As a visual creator, he has explored disciplines such as photography, environmental art, sculpture, painting and collage.
