Born on D-Day, Edgar Froese was the son of German father killed by Nazis in WWII. Froese had an early inclination for music starting with the piano at twelve and picking up the guitar three years later. Froese founded the group Tangerine Dream where he pioneered electronic music. Froese attended the Academy of Art in Berlin.
